On Thursday, November 22nd 1894, at the M.E. parsonage in Wapello, Iowa, occurred the marriage of two of Louisa county's best and fairest maidens to two of our highly esteemed and best young men. The contracting parties being Messrs, George Cocklin and Miss Minta Collins and Robert Schaffer and Miss Orpha N. Collins, of Grandview and Port Louisa townships, Rev. Younkin officiating in his usual pleasant and happy manner. The brides are daughters of Mr. and Mrs. K.B. Collins of Port Louisa township, and have hosts of warm friends who value them for their real worth and womanly graces, each of whom will adorn the new homes thus created as they should be. The gentlemen are worthy sons of worthy parents are are in every way qualified for the new duties in life that devolves upon them and are worthy the fair brides they have wooed and won. We join their hosts of friends in warmest congratulations and hope that their future pathway in life maybe all happiness and sunshine and that no thorns may be encountered as they together travel lifes rugged ways, until the evening time of life and all are called home.
