The friends of Mrs. Mae Kelly were surprised this week to learn of her marriage to Mr. Geo. Mohr, of Victor, Iowa, which occured Monday at Marengo, Iowa. Mrs. Kelly had left this city for Deep River, Iowa, to visit friends, giving no hint of her further intentions. She was joined by Mr. Mohr and Monday they went to Marengo where they were married. They then went to Iowa City in Mr. Moh's car, where they spent the night and Tuesday came to this city and surprised relatives and friends with the announcement of their marriage.

Thus Wapello is to lose another excellent lady who has lived here practically all of her life. During the past year she has been the capable and efficient assistant postmistress and in that capacity and in that capacity added to her long list of friends by her pleasant, courteous and accommodating efforts. We are sorry to lose her from our midst but wish her much happiness and contentment in her new home.

The groom is a prominent citizen and business man of Victor, Iowa, where he conducts a jewelry and piano store and is an automobile dealer. Although he is unknown to us we hear many speak highly of him, and feel that we can heartily congratulate both on their good fortune.

Mr. and Mrs. Mohr will remain here the rest of the week visiting the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Christie, after which they will go to their home in Victor.
