At the beautiful country home of H. H. Snyder on Thursday evening, Dec. 11, 1913, occurred the marriage of his daughter, Inez Anna to Alvin Jerome Cross in the presence of about sixty relatives and friends. Promptly as the clock struck seven to the strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march played by Mrs. Harold Beik, the bridal couple descended the stairway and took their place beneath a large bell, where the ceremony was performed by Rev. E.R. Bartlett, pastor of the M.E. church at Grandview, the beautiful ring ceremony being used.

The bride wore a gown of white charmeuse and shadow lace with beaded trimming and she wore a shower boquet of bride's roses. The groom wore a suit of blue serge. The decorations were many and beautiful, they being pink and white carnations and smilax. Pink and white was the color scheme throughout.

Following congratulations, the guests were invited to the dining room where a bounteous three-course supper was served. The waitresses were the Misses Zena Cross, Irma and Gladys Schafer, and Vinnie Fullerton.

The bride is the only daughter of H. H. Snyder and is one of Grandview's most popular young ladies. The groom is the second son of T.B. Cross, of Grandview, and is well worthy of the charming bride he has won.

They will reside for the present at the bride's home.
