Last Friday morning about 8 o'clock the residence of W.H. Krahl on north maine street, occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Faye Jackson, was discovered to be on fire. When discovered it had gained considerable headway. The alarm was promptly given over the wires and in a few minutes a large number of men were at hand, and with hard work they saved the building. The loss amounted to $200 on the house. Mr. and Mrs. Jackson suffered quite a loss also, as they lost all of their clothing except what they wore, and several other articles were burned; also quite a number of things were broken when taken out of the house.
