Hello,
Trying to solve a mystery of this mysterious woman named Jennie who lived with my 2nd great grandfather, Isaac Jeffers and his two sons, Francis & William from his previous marriage to my 2nd great grandmother, Almira Scott AKA "Myra". I have never been able to find Francis after this only a mention in Myra's obit stating her 2 son's who are no longer living and her one son who was living (William). I believe he must have passed away as by 1880, Isaac is living with his new wife Catherine and his other two son's, Newton & William Jeffers. No mention of Francis only a different son named Frances but he was born Dec 1878 and is not the same boy. I doubt one would re-name the same name of the son who was living so my thought is Frances was named in honor of the older 1/2 brother or possibly Catherine's brother Frank Fuller. Can anyone help with this. I am not sure if Isaac married this Jennie or what .... but in 1870 Almira was living in Dane Co., WI with her father, Horace M. Scott and brother's Edmund & John Scott as well as she and Isaac's youngest son, Newton Jeffers, Newton being 3 yrs old and I know he was born 1867, Cedar Rapids, Linn IA.
