Dennis, I've tried contacting you again by email, but I haven't heard back yet. I think it's basically hopeless.

I too don't think Effa Reece is related to Iowa Reeces. I think she was born in Clinton County, Ohio (although some say PA) and may somehow be related to Moses Rees who laid out the village of Reesville, OH in Clinton County. But after years of research, I cannot make that link either. So many trees have all of this confused and just wrong I'm afraid. Some try to make Effa's wife John Nelson Cue and have him marrying a second time and having more children! Effa died in 1884 at 76 when William was about the same age. He did outlive her, but another marriage with children???? I think the John Nelson Cue often seen in William "Billy's" family is not a part of our immediate family but instead a cousin from Nelson County, VA where John went when he arrived in America according to "MuCues of The Old Dominion". A group many who have done DNA tests say our family is closely related to. My John, William Billy Cue's, was either John Charles Cue (like one of his sons they call II) or Charles John Cue. AND he was born in PA... probably Somerset County.

Also, I still can't find where William "Billy" Cue is from for sure or his parents for sure. Some say his father was Arthur Cue. But Arthur married in Ireland and left his wife and kids there waiting for him to call for them. And there seems to be a VERY large gap between Mary, Jane, John (1766) (Ireland births) and William (1781). AND, Arthur's will shows his wife Margaret and children John, Mary and Jane inheriting his estate. NO MENTION OF A WILLIAM. Other trees talk about Rebecca Hadd and William Cue as Billy's parents. I think that may hold some credibility as Billy's father and mother. But I'm lost there too for real proof. Maybe William was a second son of David McCue from "McCues of the Old Dominion".

And Bessie or Rachel Gallaher or Gallagher, well, I think she had angels for parents. NO MENTION OF HER ANYWHERE IN PA OR OH.

I guess that's three strikes. Please stay in touch and keep me posted on your findings.
