Looking for information concerning Frank and Anna STEFAN born Czechoslovakia. They appeared on 1880 census in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with children Anna age 4, Joseph age 2, and William 4 months. Tyring to determine if they had older children, in particular Lena (Karolina Marie) who may have been working as a household servant in Butler County Nebraska. Does any one know anything about this family. Was Anna's maiden name Sterber or Sterba? When did they arrive in the US. I have found Frank listed in Linn County Iowa History to 1878 index, would book contain more information? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Lena later married Eldridge H. Thompson sometime before 1887 and they settled in Omaha, they are my great-grandparents.
