I have found an obituary for Jeremiah Lynch using the wonderful digitized newspaper archives from the Cedar Rapids public library (http://crpubliclibrary.newspaperarchive.com/Default.aspx). His obituary appeared in the April 7, 1881 issue of the The Cedar Rapids Times. The date of death was given as April 1, 1881. It did not give the names of his parents or his wife nor did it mention where he was buried. I have not yet found a death certificate or burial record. Any help is greatly appreciated.
