Immigrant Clubs

Just finished a article in "Family History" Magazine about Immigrant Clubs. From a diary of my g-grandfather he mentions going to the "club". He lived 518 1st Ave West and would "cross the bridge" to go to this club. He was of Scottish decent and this would have been about1910-1912. Does anyone know of any such clubs in the downtown CR area?
