Jay S. Pearson, brother of Purl Pearson, died May 12. Funeral services were held at Marion May 16.

He was born at Springville Jan. 18, 1905 and was employed as a maintenance man for the Rock Island railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen. He served in World War II and was a member of the Springville Methodist church.

He is survived by 3 brothers, Purl, Mechanicsville; Kennett, Alburnett and Adrian, Cedar Rapids. Mr. and Mrs. Pearson attended the funeral.
