Miss Rosa Easker, 80, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Frank Nemecek, 841 Fifteenth street SE at 9:25 a.m. Thursday after a lingering illness. She was born in Bohemia, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Easker, and came with them direct to Cedar Rapids seventy-two years ago. She had resided here since. Since the death of her parents twenty-five years ago she had made her home with her sister, Mrs. Nemecek.
Surviving are five brothers, John, Henry, Louis, Charles and Frank Easker, and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Nemecek and Mrs. Anna E. Stark, all of Cedar Rapids. A sister, Mrs. Mary Heminger, preceded her in death a month ago. Funeral services will be held in the Polansky chapel at a time to be announced later.
