Russell Wilkins, 82, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022, at the Hospice House in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Services will be held Tuesday, March 15 2022, 3:00pm at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include, sons, Rodney Wilkins, of Coggon, Iowa and Troy Wilkins, of Cedar Rapids along with two grandchildren, Wyatt and Tucker Wilkins, of Cedar Rapids.

Russell was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth and parents.

Russell Wilkins was born August 16, 1939, to parents Clifford and Leona Wilkins in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. He married Elizabeth Dibble on June 28, 1969, in Cedar Rapids. Russell loved playing the trombone, which he did in his time in the United States Air Force Band, continuing later to play in the El Kahir Shrine band for many years. Russell’s career was mainly in the security field. He enjoyed sporting events and travel with his family. Russell was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
