Richard E Zimmer, 79, of 480 Sixth ave., died Monday afternoon in Veterans hospital in Iowa City. He was a native of Ludlow, Ia., and came to Marion in 1910.
A retired auto mechanic, he was a member of Osceola lodge No. 18, IOOF, and chapter No. 19, D.A.V., and Marion post No. 298, American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Alma, 3 sisters, Mrs. F.J. Huth and Mrs. Ray Domer, both of Marion, and Mrs. Lloyd Irion of Fargo, N.D.
Services: Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Murdoch chapel. Burial in Oak Shade cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 7 p.m. today.
