Death notice from the Thurs. May 5, 1988 edition of The Marion Sentinel from Marion, Iowa.
Alma L. Zimmer, 99, a long-time resident of Marion, died April 16, in Americana Healthcare Center, Cedar Rapids, following a short illness.
She was born the daughter of Fred and Margaret (Kline) Bebee on Oct. 17, 1888, in Scotch Grove Township.
On Aug. 26, 1914, at Marion, she was married to Richard E. Zimmer, who died Feb. 6, 1961.
The 1905 Marion graduate taught school for two years and worked in the County Abstract office for a number of years.
She was a member of Robins Church of the Brethren, and a 75-year member and past noble grand of Grove City Rebekah Lodge No. 35 of Marion.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
Services were held April 19, at the Murdoch Funeral Home in Marion with the Rev. Nick Schrope officiating.
Burial was at Oak Shade Cemetery.
