John C. Reinheimer (1948-2021)

John C. Reinheimer, age 73, of Galena, IL, formerly of Cedar Rapids, IA, completed his earthly journey suddenly on November 27, 2021, at home. To honor John’s life, a private family service will be held. Burial will be in the Cedar Memorial Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving John’s family.

John was born on January 7, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, IA, the only child to Charles and Charlotte (Berry) Reinheimer. He grew up knowing that he wanted to spend his career helping others and went on to earn double Masters degrees before investing over 37 years with the State of Iowa as a rehabilitation counselor. He enjoyed his working years, but also found great peace in the 12 years he spent as a courtesy driver with McGrath Kia after his retirement. John was always a very social person who simply enjoyed being around others and striking up a stimulating conversation whenever possible. John also spent many hours practicing his skills on his piano and savored any opportunity that he could simply sit and visit with his loved ones and dear friends. We are going to miss John more than he could ever know and the void he has left behind will never truly be filled again. We are grateful for the memories and pray that he is finally free from his earthly health issues until we meet again. Thank you, John, for teaching us that life can be any kind of adventure that we would choose it to be and that it’s never to late to make new friends throughout each and every day.

John was preceded in death by his parents.
