TERESA ANN VOGL Cedar Rapids Teresa Ann Vogl, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died peacefully at home with family at her side on Friday, Nov. 26, 2021. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at All Saints Catholic Church by the Rev. John Flaherty. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday after 8:30 a.m. at the church. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family. Teresa is survived by her husband, Bill; children, Margie (Bob) Pence of Cedar Rapids, Larry (Vicky) Vogl of Cedar Rapids, Kathy (Jim) Reicherts of Springfield, Mo., Susie (Nick) Nicholson of Louisville, Ky., Judy (Gary) Hutchins of Pleasant Prairie, Wis., Mary (Ron) Hanson of Glenwood, Sally (Scott) Johnsen of Bloomingdale, Ill., Jim (Kate) Vogl of Plymouth, Minn., Annie (Joe) Jeffries of Cedar Rapids and Lisa (Griff) Griffin of Cedar Rapids; and 26 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way. She also is survived by sisters-in-law, Alice Shea of Cedar Rapids, Karen Vogl of St. Paul, Minn., and Mary Ann (Richard) Steele of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Leonard (Helen), Jerry (Clarice), Timothy and Michael (Marty) Shea; her sisters, Rosemary (Bob) Miller and Sr. Mary Rose Shea BVM; her father- and mother-in-law, Fred and Odette Vogl; her brothers-in-law, Monsignor Robert Vogl, Richard Vogl and Thomas (Patricia) Vogl; son-in-law, Mick Denniston; and great-granddaughter, Vivianne Beadle. Teresa was born Dec. 13, 1928, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Timothy and Catherine Condon Shea. She graduated from St. Patrick High School in 1946 and attended Clarke College. On Aug. 25, 1951, she married William George Vogl at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Teresa will be remembered for her strong faith, her cookie baking, the many wonderful meals she prepared for a houseful of people and the loving and patient way she raised her family. She cherished any time spent with her family, especially the grandchildren, a good game of solitaire, keeping track of and acknowledging all family birthdays and anniversaries and, most of all, she loved her life with Bill. The Vogl family would like to thank Dr. Mary Anne Nelson for the many years of care and friendship she provided, and Barb Rocarek, Teresa's talented and dedicated hair stylist.
