Funeral service for Franklin J. Rumple, 47, who died at 4 a.m. Monday at his home near Martelle, is being held this Thursday afternoon, at 1:30 o'clock at the home, and 2 o'clock at the Smykil Home for Funerals. Rev. Edgar E. Walker, jr., of the Methodist church is the officiating minister, and burial is at Riverside cemetery.

Franklin James Rumple, son of Harry H. and Minerva B. Rumple, was born May 29, 1898, in Linn Co., Ia. He was married July 10, 1918, to Wilma Irena Worden, at Anamosa. Two sons Harold James and Harry Franklin, were born to the union.

Mr. Rumple was a member of the Knights of Pythias, and at the time of his death held the office of Chancellor Commander of the Martelle lodge.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, his parents, a sister, Mrs. Mae B. Allen, two nephews, Dale and Donald Allen, two nieces Betty Allen and Mrs. Doris Durgin.
