Funeral services for L.F. Metcalf, who died at 2 p.m. Monday will beheld at the grave in Oak Hill cemetery, at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. E.R Burkhalter will officiate.

After suffering intense agony for nearly a year from an incurable disease Luther F. Metcalf, well known for 40 years in this city, passed away this week. "Lute" Metcalf was at one time conceded to be one of the most highly skilled pressmen in the country. He was a man of many talents, kindly of nature, over willing to aid those less fortunate than himself. The funeral was held Wednesday, the Rev. E.R. Burkhalter officiating. Interment was had at Oak Hill.
Married Clara in 1891.
