Marion Weekly Sentinel Thursday October 17, 1918
Pneumonia, following Spanish influenza, caused the death of W.C. Beall Sunday morning, after an illness of only a week. Mr. Beall was not the most rugged in health, so was not able to combat the disease. He was a man of upright character, and faithful to his duties.
William Calvin Beall was born May 22, 1877, so was only a little past forty-ones years of age. His father was Rev. J. M. Beall who passed away several years ago, and was a member of the Methodist conference for nineteen years. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Vera and Lera, a third child having died and also leaves his mother, Mrs. Izora Beall, three sisters, Mrs. Phillips, of Savanna, Mrs. Maxson, and Miss Gladys Beall of Marion, and three brothers, I. Beall of Washington, D.C., Clifford and Otto of Marion. The funeral was held Tuesday from the home conducted by the Rev. A.H. Hanscom.
