Funeral service for Cynthia E. Dutcher, 80, who died at her home at Linn Grove, Saturday, was held Tuesday at the Linn Grove church. Rev. Lloyd Morris officiated, and interment was in the Springville cemetery. Pallbearers were George Barner, John Carbee, William Clark, William Ferguson, Edwin Harris and Marvin Johnson.

She was born, Cynthia Ellen Ellis, daughter of Levi and Jane Pearson Ellis, near Waubeek, April 21, 1864. She attended Cornell college, Mount Vernon, and taught school for some time in Linn county and Gordon, Nebr.

April 15, 1891, she was married to William C. Dutcher. They made their home on a farm north of Springville. In 1900 they moved to a farm in the Linn Grove community. One daughter, Jennie Fay, was born to the union.

Surviving are the daughter, Jennie Garrett; and several nieces, nephews, and one sister, Mrs. Lucindia Smith, Ely. Her husband died in February, 1936.

She was a member of the Linn Grove church, and Sunday school teacher there for a number of years.
