Married George Tranberry before their immigration to the US in 1872. She was the mother of 6 children, 5 living in the 1900 US census: Chris age 26, Sam age 24 and Annie M. age 17.

Mrs. Marie Helen Tranberry, the wife of George Tranberry, 1434 K street west, died last night at the age of 77. Besides her husband she is survived by three sons, Henry, Samuel E. and Christ S., and two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Bizinger and Mrs. Walter Smith. The funeral will take place from the family residence tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. J.O. Simon will officiate. Burial will take place in Linwood cemetery.
