VIOLA--Mrs. Neal Larson, Viola, 69, died Thursday morning, May 2, at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 4, at 2 p.m. at the Viola Methodist church. Rev. Alvin Ebert officiated at the service. Burial was in the Springville cemetery.

She was born Retta Armstrong, Feb. 16, 1894, daughter of George and Aletha Penn Armstrong, near Viola. She was married to Neal Larson, Feb. 23, 1916.

She was a member of Viola Methodist church and the Women's Society of Christian service. She was also an active member of W.S.C.S. in Springville.

Survivors include her husband, Neal; three children, Norma, Mrs. Ward Knight, Viola; Wayne Larson, Cedar Rapids, and Rayford Larson, Marion.

Other survivors include three brothers, Roy Armstrong, Oren Armstrong and Darold Armstrong, all of Viola, and eight grandchidlren.
