S.D. Hubbard, for many years a resident of this city and well known, died at his residence at Oak Park, Ill., June 3, after an illness of ten days of pneumonia meningitis. The interment will take place at Linwood and the funeral will be held from the residence of Willie Vance, 1002 B avenue, west, at 1:30 this afternoon.
The deceased was born at Springville[sic], Mass, in 1852, and was the son of E.J. and Sophia Hubbard. He came west in 1862 and to Cedar Rapids in 1881 and was for many years bookkeeper for the T.M. Sinclair company. For the past three years he has been identified with the accounting department of the Northwestern with headquarters at Chicago.
