N. C. Putnam returned from Cedar Rapids, Saturday, where he was called by the illness and death of his mother, Mrs. G. C. Putnam.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Adelia who was born in 1837 and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery.
