Funeral service for William H. McCleary, 74, who died suddenly at his home near Springville, Monday, were held this Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Forest chapel, Rev. C. L. Windson officiating. Burial was at the Forest chapel cemetery. Brothers and brother-in-law of Mr. McCleary served as pallbearers.
Death was caused by an attack of heart disease. He is survived by his wife, one son, Raymond, Whittier; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Blanchard, Marion; Mrs. Mabel French, Coggon and Mrs. Edith French, Stacyville; a sister, Mrs. Irene McFate, Des Moines; three brothers, Jeff, Spencer; Fred, Denver, Colo.; and John, Tenock, Minn.
Funeral arrangement are in charge of the Smykil funeral home.

Funeral service for William H. McCleary, 73, who died Feb. 28 at his home near Springville was held last Thursday at the Forest Chapel church, with Rev. J. K. Delahooke in charge.
Burial was in the Forest cemetery. Pallbearers were Jess and Fred McCleary, John, Charles, James and Frank Moyer. Those who sang at the service were Mrs. Pard Miller, Mrs. Raleigh Shoop, Mrs. Robert Bainbridge, Mrs. Donald Brokaw. Mrs. Charles Gray accompanied them on the piano.
William H. McCleary, son of William J. and Mary Susan McCleary, was born May 14,1870 in Jones county and spent his entire life in Jones and Linn counties. He married Mary Estella Moyer, June 3, 1903. One son, three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, one son, Raymond, Springville; three daughters, Gladys Blackford, Marion; Mabel French, Coggon, and Edith French, Stacyville; three brothers, Jess, Spencer; Fred, Denver, Colo.; John, Pennock, Minn; one sister, Irene McFate, Des Moines and eight grandchildren.
