Funeral service for Frank Joseph Smith, 73, who died May 25, at his home at Prairieburg, were held last Monday at the St. Joseph's Catholic church there. Father Kucera conducted the high requiem mass, and burial was at St. Joseph's cemetery.

Smith was born Jan. 25, 1866, at Prairieburg, and lived in that community all of his life.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara; three sons, Frank, Al and Arthur, all of Prairieburg, and two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Keegan, Central City; and Mrs. Albert Eilers, Monticello.

McNamara funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
