Services of Lizzie E. Dumont, 75, granddaughter of A.B. Dumont, one of Marion's oldest settlers, were held in the Yocom chapel Friday afternoon with the Rev. Homer F. Perry officiating.
She died in a Cedar Rapids nursing home Oct. 13, at 12:40 p.m.
Born May 30, 1873, at Marion, she was the daughter of James W. and Rhoda Lake DuMont. In 1889 she moved to Grand Rapids, Mich., but returned here eight years later. In 1906 she moved to Davenport. She and her father returned to Maion in 1936 and she made her home here since he died on Jan. 13, 1937.
A member of Marion chapter No. 183 O.E.S., she is survived by several cousins. Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery.
