SueAnn Elaine Lewis, 56, of Cedar Rapids, passed away at home from Metastatic Breast Cancer on Friday, July 3, 2020. Services will be held on Friday, July 17 at 1:00 P.M. at Teahen Funeral Home. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may greet the family Friday, July 17, at 12:00 p.m. prior to services.
SueAnn is survived by her husband William; three sons, Andrew (Valerie) Graves, Joseph (Heather) Graves, Jeffrey (Kristina Kaltenbach) Graves; a daughter, Jamie (Andrew) McWade of Rock Island, IL; grandchildren, Blake and Jaxon Graves, Mason, Madi and Ian; her mother, Sandra Day of Cedar Rapids; sister, Kimberly (Douglas) Frazer of Marion; and a brother Bryan (Shannon) Day of Cedar Rapids.
SueAnn was born November 18, 1963 in Cedar Rapids the daughter Richard and Sandra (Newberry) Day. She was a 1982 graduate of Jefferson High School and married William Lewis on July 19, 1997 in Marion. She retired in 2018 after working for many years at Telecom in their payroll department and at Aegon in accounts receivable and processing medical claims at MediRevv.
SueAnn had many passions and hobbies including, quilting, camping, fishing, boating, cooking on the open fire, baking apple pies, fishing on the shore, and on the boat, and pulling the kids on a tube really fast. She adored spending time with her children and grandchildren at the park, going to the zoo, hiking in Iowa, Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, Hawaii and Florida. She loved traveling around the United States especially in the mountains, making our house into a home, making a Christmas stocking for everyone in the family, dressing up for Halloween to go trick or treating with the kids and she loved seeing the small children dressed up. She was also a participant in the Especially for You Breast Cancer Walk where she also volunteered for two years.
Memorials may be directed to the Especially for You Breast Cancer Walk in SueAnn’s memory.
