MARION--James B. Murray, 61, of 431 Ninth street died early Wednesday in a Cedar Rapids hospital. He was hospitalized Oct. 16 as the result of injuries suffered in a ditch cave-in.

Services Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's church. The Rosary Society will recite the Rosary at Murdoch chapel Friday at 8 p.m.

Mr. Murray was born Oct. 28 1900, at Hopkinton. He was married to Mary Grace Kehoe at Castle Grove on Sept. 15, 1931. He came to Marion in 1931 from Hopkinton and managed the Ament Dry Goods Co. for many years. Mr. Murray also was employed by the Collins Radio Co. for 10 years. He was working for the city at the time of his death.

Mr. Murray was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church.

Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Jones and Mrs. James Seigel, both of Marion, two sons, James and Gerald at home; six grandchildren; a brother, the Rev. Charles J. Murray, S.J., Pueblo, Colo.; two sisters, Sister Marie Charlotte of Visitation convent in Dubuque and Mrs. Albert J. Ament, Anamosa.
