M. Ruth Carroll, 66, of 322 1/2 2nd Ave. S.E., Cedar Rapids, died Saturday at a local hospital. Formerly of Mechanicsville, she had been a Cedar Rapids resident for 24 years. She was born January 31, 1914 at Wyoming. She retired in 1979 after being employed at the Chandler Plumbing Co., for the past seven years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Geraldine Vernon of Marion and Patricia Grosse of Columbus, OH; her mother, Kitty Felker of Monticello; a sister, Mildred Dusanek of Wyoming; and a brother, John Heasty of CA and two grandchildren.

Memorial services were held on Tuesday, May 20 at 1:00 p.m. with burial in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Donald Caspers officiated.
