Leonard G. Hewitt, 81, a life-long Marion resident, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Saturday, June 11, in a Marion nursing home. He was born the son of Tyler and Eva Stowe Hewitt on Feb. 2, 1885 at Marion. On Dec. 21, 1910 he was married to Ann J. Tyler at Marion. Mr. Hewitt was a railroad statistician with the Milwaukee railroad until his retirement. He was a member of the First Methodist church at Marion and a 50 year member of Marion Lodge No. 6, A.F. & A.M.
Surviving is his wife.
Services were 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 13 at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion, conducted by the Rev. J. Richard Wagner. Interment was in Oak Shade Cemetery.
