Mrs. William Harbison whose funeral was held yesterday, was a beneficial member of the order of Knights and Ladies of the Golden Precept. Thursday a notice of her death was sent to the supreme lodge at Clinton and the hundred dollars funeral benefits were received here yesterday morning.
The funeral of Mrs. Wm. Harbison was held yesterday afternoon from the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Stowe. The services were conducted by Rev. T.M. Evans. He was assisted by Rev. Mr. Warren, pastor of the Congregational church in Monticello. There was a large attendance of friends and the members of the W.R.C. and Knight and Ladies of the Golden Precept attended in a body. The deceased leaves once child, Mrs. Cyrus Helsy, of Monticello. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. l. Stowe, and sister, Mrs. Ty Hewett, and sister-in-law, Mrs. John Swan, reside in Marion. All who mourn will have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends in their great sorrow. Mrs. Harbison was beloved by all who knew her. Since the death of her husband less than one year ago, she has spent most of the time with her parents here and with her daughter in Monticello. Quite a number of friends from Monticello were present at the funeral. The interment was in Oakshade cemetery.
