Funeral service for Mrs. Ida Gano, 75, Marion, who died Sunday morning at the home of a niece, Mrs. Charles Leggett, where she was visiting, was held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Smykil's Funeral home.

Rev. DeJong, pastor of the Marion Presbyterian church, officiated and burial was at Cedar Memorial cemetery in Cedar Rapids.

Mrs. Gano. who had been making her home in Marion with another niece, Mrs. H. B. Hammond, became ill shortly after her arrival here about two weeks ago.

She was born in Clinton county on Feb. 15, 1866, and was married to James B. Gano at Marion on Jan. 1, 1900. After the marriage they moved to Arlington, S.D., to make their home. Mr. Gano preceded her in death about seven years ago and a son, Howard, died in April 1936. After her son's death she made her home with Mrs. Hammond in Marion.

Mrs. Gano is survived by another son, James, Bruce, S.D.; a sister, Mrs. Edward Siegmund, Wheatland; a nephew, Wilbur Shaffer, Springville, as well as by her two nieces, Mrs. Hammond and Mrs. Leggett.
