Homer Ray Norton, 84, of Linn Manor Care Center, died there Tuesday, July 18, 1996, following a long illness. Services: 2 p.m. today, Baxter Funeral Chapel, Marion, by Pastor Robert Orr. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. at the chapel.
Survivors include a son, Stephen on Ohio; a brother, James of Wilmore, Ky.; and a sister, Helen Seitman of Beaver Creek, Ohio.
Also surviving are several grandchildren.
Born March 27, 1912, the son of Homer LeRoy and Esther Hoyt Norton, he married Louise E. Wendt on April 23, 1954, in Cleveland, Ohio. Homer was a steel worker, farmer and beekeeper.
