Nellie Coy, 91, of Shellsburg died Friday at the Edgewood Manor Care Center, 200 Clive Drive SW, after a short illness. She had lived at the center for the past month.

Nellie Engledow was born Oct 28, 1889 at La Porte City. She was married to Otis Coy, who died Jan 8, 1967.

Survivors include four sons, Lloyd, William and George, all of Shellsburg and Otis, Jr. of Cedar Rapids; seven daughters, Mrs. Loueva Johnson and Mrs. Edith Williams, both of Shellsburg, Mrs. Sadie Stuartz of Garrison; Mrs. Alta Gee of Sumner and Mrs. Genevieve Thiher, Mrs. Erma Noeller and Mrs. Blanche Henkel, all of Vinton; one sister, Margaret Riggle of Vinton; 18 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Shellsburg
