Joseph S. Dripps, son of George and Mary Dunn Dripps, died recently. He was born October 1, 1875 on the home farm in Linn township, in which vicinity he had spent his entire life. As a boy he attended the Norwood school. On March 20, 1901, he was married to Fannie I. Hempy, in Jones county. For mamy years they hvae been respected farmers in this community. They were the parents of two sons, George, who with his family now occupies the farm where his father was born and Lynn, who is caring for the home farm. Mrs. Dripps passed away on February 6, 1942. In addition to his sons, and one granddaughter, Ruth Elaine. Mr. Dripps is survived by one brother, Walter, of Marion, and one sister, Olive Olgenfritz, of Martelle. Funeral serviecs were conducted at the Springville Presbyterian church, assisted by Rev. Charles B. Willming. Burial was in the Springville cemetery.
