Mr. Albert Wood Hutchinson, the only son of William and Aulalla Hutchinson, both deceased, was born in Madison, Wisconsin, June 29, 1858. He came to Linn County, when but 10 years of age and has resided here ever since. On Oct. 5th he was joined in marriage to Miss Mary Shirely. One son William, was born to this union, who, together with his widow and four sisters survive him and mourn his loss. The sisters are Mrs. Wm. Towie, Mrs. J. Farr of Laramie, Wyoming, Mrs. Philbrick, Box-Elder, Wyoming, and Mrs. Abbey Krebs, Minneapolis, Minnesota. None of them were able to be present for the funeral.
Mr. Hutchinson had been sick since last April, and has been confined to the house most of the time since the first of July. For some time his friends knew that the end was drawing near. He retained his consciousness until a very short time before his departure. On Saturday morning, December 3 he was released from his suffering. He was 52 years, 5 months and 4 days old.
For many years he was in the Livery business in Marion, and later he engaged in buying and selling horses. He had the respect and confidence of his fellow townsmen who sympathise with the widow and son in this their sad bereavement.
