A Strong Man Gone.
Judge N. M Hubbard, of Cedar Rapids, died on Wednesday last, after a long and very successful career. For nearly forty years he has been a leading figure in Iowa affairs. For nearly a quarter century, he has been known as the legal representative of the Chicago & Northwestern Railway Co., and as such has exercised a wide influence in politics. Probably he has been charged with many offences he did not commit, and not accorded with all the good qualities he possessed. There were few abler lawyers than he, and his passing away loses to the state one of the brainiest men of his generation. His death resulted from the accident that befell him on his own farm near Cedar Rapids.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cedar Rapids and was born September, 1929 and died June 12, 1902.
