Florence L. Northcott, 98, a resident of Meth Wick Manor and longtime resident of Cedar Rapids, died Friday at Meth Wick Manor after a short illness.
Florence Louise Winterberg was born July 5, 1884, at Edinburg[sic], Ind. She married John B. Northcott on Jan. 7, 1909, at Edinburg, Ind. He died in 1933. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was a graduate of the Metropolitan Conservatory of Music in Indianapolis.
Survivors include two daughters, Louise Knapp of Cedar Rpaids and Evelyn Staves of Van Nuy s, Calif.; a sister, May Winterberg of Cedar Rapids; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services: 3 p.m. Monday at Turner Chapel East by Dr. Theodore G. Lilley. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery...
