Ithiel Bean, 74, of 100 1/2 First street SE, died at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday in his home following a brief illness. Born Feb. 16, 1869, in Plymouth Rock, he came to Cedar Rapids about 50 years ago. He was employed here as a carpenter and cabinet maker.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Mrs. W.A. Murphy, Cedar Rapids, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and one son.
Services will be held Friday in the Kuba chapel, with the Rev. Frank Ward officiating. Time of the services will be announced later. Friends may call at the chapel.
