Mrs. Mary Kent, wife of John B. Kent, of White River, S.D. died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B.F. Franks, 618 Second avenue west, Friday at 11:30 p.m.
Mrs. Kent was born Dec. 8, 1848 and was 74 years old. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. B.F. Franks of Cedar Rapids, in whose home she was visiting at the time of her death; Mrs. Maude Henley of Oskaloosa; five sons, Geo. K., of Hemet, Calif.; Simon Kent and John Earl Kent, Jr., of White River, S.D.; Charles R. Kent and Leon Frank Kent of Huron, S.D. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Geo. Sims of Whittier, Calif.; Mrs. Jane Myers, of Fairbanks, Iowa. She was a past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Stars of South Dakota.
Funeral services will be held in the Turner chapel Monday at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. W.W. Argow will officiate.
