Mrs. Ellen M. Anderson Eidel, wife of Thomas E. Eidel, Jr., died at her home at Port Jarvis[sic], N.Y., late Friday, March 3, after an illness of two weeks. She was 26-years-old.
She was born in Stone City, Iowa, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G.A. Anderson. Her early life was spent in Cedar Rapids. During the world war she was in the employ of the government in Washington, D.C. In Nov. 20, 1920 she was united in marriage with Mr. Eidel and had since lived at Port Jarvis where she has gained a host of friends to whom her death is a cause of deep sorrow. Mrs. Eidel was a member of the Ben Hur lodge and the Presbyterian church of this city and the Ladies auxiliary of the Jaems C. Bliz post, American Legion of Port Jarvis.
Besides her husband and infant son, Richard Norman, at home, she also leaves her parents of this city, three sisters, Lorene Anderson of Washington; Selma and Margaret Anderson, both of this city, and one brother Alive L. Anderson, an uncle Mat Norman and two aunts, Angeila and Agnes Holmquist of this city.
The funeral was held from the home of her parents, 1017 A avenue west at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 1922. Services were conducted by the Rev. E.R. Burkhalter and burial was made in Linwood cemetery.
