The Marion Weekly Sentinel Thursday December 1, 1921
Death of Mrs. Anna Biggs
Mrs. Anna Biggs died Wednesday morning at three o'clock at her home, 500 Eleventh street. She had been in failing health for several weeks, but grew rapidly worse during the past two weeks and was a great sufferer. She was the widow of Elias W. Biggs, who, for many years, was owner and proprietor of the Biggs hotel, so was well known because of her active assistance in the hotel. Mr. Biggs passed away five years ago. One sister, Mrs. S.S. Hobart, of Clinton, survives, and a nephew, James Titus, who with his wife, has tenderly cared for the deceased through her last illness.
Mrs. Biggs was born September 13, 1847, in Pennsylvania, but had been a resident of this county about fifty years. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock from the residence, with Marion chapter No. 188, O.E.S., assisted by the Rev. S.D. Noah, in charge. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery.
