HOLD FUNERAL RITES FOR MRS. M. LATHROP
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Lathrop were held at the home, 1090 Eleventh street, at 3 p.m. today and were in charge of the Rev. Harry Glenn Finney of the Presbyterian church.
Mary Elizabeth Gageby was born in Indiana in 1837 and died Saturday noon after an illness of several months. The Lathrops lived on a farm east of Marion on the Lincoln highway for many years and were always active in church and social circles in the community.
The deceased leaves five children, David of Houston, Tex., Elmer E. of Chicago, Harry V. and Dr. William C. of Norton, Kan., and Miss Minnie, who lives at home. A grandson, Elmer Lathrop, was killed in a motorcycle accident in Chicago about two weeks ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer E. Lathrop of Chicago, and Harry Lathrop of Norton, Kan., are in the city to attend the funeral of their mother. Dr. William Lathrop, of Norton, Kan., was unable to come.
