Wayne E. Stainbrook, 77, of 6420 Council St. NE died at a local hospital early Saturday after a long illness.
Born Sept. 29, 1903, at Waterloo, he was married to Edna Nichols Aug. 20, 1924, at Marion. He lived in the Cedar Rapids area until 1959 when he moved to Whittier, Calif., where he was employed by Modine Radiator Co. He returned to Cedar Rapids in 1979.
Surviving in addition to his wife of Whittier, Retirement Villa, Whittier, Calif., are three daughters, Mrs. Raymond F. Wells of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Corrine Fuller of Garden Grove, Calif., and Mrs. Velma Wise, Wilmington, Del.; 15 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services: 2:30 p.m. Monday at Kuba Funeral Home East by the Rev. Marvin Wells. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.
