The funeral services of Luther P. Owen were held at the residence of Mrs. H.I. Elliott yesterday at 2:30 p.m. Sermon by Rev. M.L. Hutton, pastor of the congregational church. It was an appropriate and eloquent address. Made was furnished by a quartet, James E. Bromwell, Karl Kendall, Frank Holmes and Frank Buzza. The pall bearers were C.W. Braska, F.L. Northrup, T.J. Davis, B.C. Busby, T. Williams and Charles E. Mitchell. The members of the Oncota club, of which Miss Hazel Owen is a a member were present and a large number of our citizens. After the religious service the Masons took charge and gave him a Masonic burial. Mr. Owen will be missed by a large circle of friends, and especially by those whom he had so often generously and freely befriended and assisted when in need. The floral tributes were beautiful.
