Richard A. "Dick" Gilliland, 77, of Marion, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at ManorCare in Cedar Rapids...Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ann; and his sister, Mona.
Richard was born Aug. 27, 1935, the son of Wally and Fern (Rolland) Gilliland. He graduated from Sigourney High School in 1953. On June 27, 1959, he married Mary Ann Eckley. Richard always worked as a truck driver, the last 10 years working for IDS....
