Marilyn Jeanne Iliff , 72, of DePere, Wis., formerly of Marion, died of cancer Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, in her daughter's home in DePere. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by the Rev. Howard Chapman. Inurnment: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.

Survivors include her children.

Also surviving are her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, John Van Nimwegen.

Marilyn was born May 7, 1930, in Alton, Iowa, the daughter of Doras "Speck" and Ina Van Nimwegen. She graduated from Eagle Grove Junior College and taught fourth grade for one year. She married in 1951 and later divorced. Marilyn was employed at the Linn-Mar School District for 24 years. She volunteered at Family Services, YMCA, St. Luke's Hospital, and many various athletic events. Marilyn was a member of Marion Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir. She enjoyed family gatherings, visiting with friends, computer projects and bridge club.

Marilyn will be remembered for her love, thoughtfulness, joy and courage....
