Gerald Kelly, 55, of 500 11th St., Marion, died suddenly July 1 in Cedar Rapids while shopping.
Mr. Kelly was born at Mederville, Ia. July 8, 1926. He lived in Marion most of his life. He was employed by Wilson and Co. for a number of years. He served with the Navy in World War II. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Surviving are three sons, Terry and Rick of Marion, and Timothy of Memphis, Tenn., who is in the U.S. Navy; two daughters, Kathy Gilbreaith of Littleton, Colo., and Christine of Marion, four brothers, Harlan and Charles of Cedar Rapids, Alto of Elkader and Wivel of Illinois; three sisters, Zelpha Henry of Milwaukee, Wis., Sharon Thien and Kay Karmos of Strawberry Point, and one grandchild.
Services were held Saturday, July 3, at the Baxter Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Keith Birch of St. Joseph's Church. Rosary was recited Friday, July 2, at 7:30 p.m. at the chapel. Interment was in Oak Shade Cemetery.
