Mrs. Dorca Beall died at the home of her son-in-law, Perry Oxley, on east 5th avenue yesterday morning. She was born in Butler County, Ohio, in 1825, and came to Iowa in 1839. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. James Martin, and settled east of Marion. Martin's Creek is named for them.
She leaves one son, J.E. Beall, three daughters, Mrs. Perry Oxley, of this city, Mrs. Ammerman of Perry and Mrs. Webster of Niles, Michigan. Also a brother, Mrs. Giles Martin and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Webber, both of this city. The funeral was held at 1:30 to-day. In her death Linn county loses another one of its honored pioneers.
